I am so blessed!

Today on this beautiful Thanksgiving day, I'm reflecting on all of my wonderful blessings. I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you all what I'm thankful for:

I am thankful for my wonderful parents who raised me in a christian home with lots of love. Love for Christ, love for family, and love for others.

I am thankful for 4 sweet, beautiful girls and 2 sweet, beautiful boys that call me Aunt Beth. They love me unconditionally. I hope they always know how much I love them and will support them in everything they do.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband. He is so good to me. And I fall in love with him all over again everyday.

I am thankful for my sisters. You girls are some of my best friends. Thank you for always supporting me and loving me.

I am thankful for my AWESOME friends. You girls (Al, you are also included in the sister part), and guy (there's your shout out Larry) are the best friends anyone could ask for. Thank you for not only loving me, but liking me....even on days when I don't like myself!! :)

I am thankful for my job, and my husbands job. Without them, we would not have all of our 'things' that we are thankful for.....our home, our cars, power, water, food, clothing, phones, televisions, etc.

But most of all, I am thankful for my salvation. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for loving me enough to send your only son to die for me.

I love you all and hope that you all have a BLESSED Thanksgiving!!!

Beth

P.S. I know that it has been a while since I've blogged, but I promise to start blogging more.

Catching up....

I know, I know.....I am doing a TERRIBLE job at blogging. Honestly, it's not for lack of having things to talk about, it's just laziness. I have actually had a TON of things going on in my life lately. I've also gotten a few things done on my 101 list. So I guess I'll start with that.....

27. Get a pedicure
My BFF Allison treated me to a pedicure before her wedding. (I guess she was hinting that my feet were/are nasty! lol)

36. Go to my 10 yr class reunion
I can not believe that it has been 10 years. Lauren Davis Ruston and myself planned our reunion and it was GREAT. (if I do say so myself) I was very happy with the turnout that we got. We had a lot of out of town guests....Jared even came all the way from California. :) It was so good to see all the people that I haven't seen in forever. We had a fiesta theme and Moe's catered. I had a wonderful time and I think everyone else did as well. I'll post pictures later.

37. stand beside my BFF Allison as she marries the man of her dreams
All I can say about Allison's wedding is WOW. It was such a wonderful wedding and reception. All of us bridesmaids and Allison got to the church at about 10 to hang out and get our hair done. We had such a fun, relaxing time (even during the thunderstorm that came through) just being together and laughing. We took our pictures before the wedding, then at 6 o'clock Allison married her sweet man. And just to let you all know, she was a BEAUTIFUL bride. (Josh looked pretty nice as well lol) After the wedding, we went to the reception and sweated and danced the night away. We did a really fun Bride/Bridesmaids dance. So fun and cute. I am so happy for my friend. She deserves only the best, and I'm glad she had a wonderful wedding and now has a wonderful husband. God has blessed her, and me as well.....to have her in my life.
Allison, I know I've already told you, but thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Thank you for loving me and being such a great friend. I love you!!

64. make a scrapbook
I was very proud of the scrapbook that I made for Allison. I started it with her engagement, (we took pictures the night Josh proposed) and went through each shower/tea that she had for her wedding. I ended it with the wedding invitation and blank pages for the pictures of that. I can't wait to help her finish it. It's going to be a blast.

81. see a movie in 3D
Larry, Brandon, and I went to see Shrek the final chapter in 3D. It was such a cute movie and I really enjoyed the 3D part. I even liked the glasses. I kept them, and I occasionally put them on and act like Roy Orbison. 'Pretty Woman, walking down the street, Pretty woman, the kind I'd like to meet......' :)

86. make a new friend
I met a couple girls through my friend Allison. And even though we have not spent a lot of time together, I really like them and hope to hang with each of them again soon. So to Lauren and Katie......you guys rock!! Lets hang soon. :)

There is one number on my list that I know I will not be able to complete.
93. go to the midnight showing of Eclipse
I have to work on Wednesday, so I wont be able to go to the midnight showing. I will be too tired and cranky and that is NOT a good thing. I am, however, going to see it Friday while I'm off work. (the start of my MUCH needed vacation)

I promise I'm going to try to be better at this blogging thing. I have more to say, but I've typed a lot and I'm not sure how much of it makes sense. I will post pictures from the reunion and wedding later.
Hope you all have a great week and a Happy 4th!!!

Random Ramblings

We had a couples shower for Allison and Josh last night. We all had a great time and they got a lot of great stuff. I was surprised at how creative a few people were with their gifts. (you had to give a gift that starts with the first letter of your last name. B....Blender) Allison's wedding is just a month away. I can't wait!!! I love my sweet friend very much!

My 10 year class reunion is just a week away. I can't believe that it has been 10 years. I'm very excited to see everyone and catch up on their lives. I have really been thinking a lot about the person that I was in high school. I had a plan for my life. I know, I know, everyone has one right?? Anyway, I had this plan for my life. Get married by 22, have my first child by 24. The next one at 26, maybe even a third one by 30. I would be a stay at home mom because my husband made a lot of money. And these weren't huge hopes and dreams, so it was all gonna go exactly my way right? Well, it hasn't exactly gone according to my plan. God has blessed me with my wonderful husband, and I got married at 24. But so far, I'm still working (dang it!! lol) and I haven't been blessed with children.....YET. 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding' Proverbs 3:5 My time is not always God's time. But I know God is in control and I trust him. :)

Update on my 101......I haven't done anything yet, but I'm working a few right now.

Hope you all have a great week.

Beth

101 in 1001

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but I didn’t know what I would write about. I still don’t know if I’ll have much to say, or if it will even be interesting, but I am gonna start one anyway.

I decided I would start my first entry with my 101 in 1001. I saw this idea on some other blogs and I thought it would be really neat. What you do is make a list of 101 things that you would like to accomplish in the next 1001 days. I am starting this list today, May 8, 2010 so my time will be up on February 1, 2013. Honestly, I’ve never really been good and finishing a project that I start, so that is what I want to do with this. I want to finally start something, and actually finish it. I will make sure to let you all know when I mark something off my list.

I hope I don’t bore you all to death. (If anyone even reads this) I can’t promise that I will always have something encouraging or positive to say. I can’t promise I’m gonna make you laugh, or say anything philosophical. I am not going to pretend to use the best grammar or spelling. I love to make people laugh, and I hope I’ll be able to do that, but I’m not always happy. I am often moody. I tend to ramble about random things, and I am constantly forgetting what I was gonna say next. But I can promise you that I will be myself. That is all I can be.

Until next time.
